Florence was the capital of the Italian language in the world

Hanno preso il via ieri mattina nel Salone dei Cinquecento gli Stati Generali della Lingua Italiana nel mondo.

For two days in Florence hosts meetings, moments of reflection, tables and in-depth initiatives that see our language as the undisputed protagonist.

The initiative, promoted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, University and Research (Ministry of Education) and the Ministry of Heritage and Culture and Tourism (MIBACT), represents an opportunity to further the dissemination strategies of Italian abroad and to make the point, in a constructive way, on new challenges.

L’evento, entitled "The Italian in a changing world", takes place simultaneously with the start of the fourteenth week of the Italian Language in the World, that involves the whole network of cultural and diplomatic on RAI.

Ieri l’apertura ufficiale nel Salone dei Cinquecento con la partecipazione del Sindaco Dario Nardella, Councillor cooperation and international relations Nicoletta Mantovani, the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Mario Giro and the Federal Chancellor Corina Casanova Switzerland.

For Councillor Mantovani is “a further testimony of the irreplaceable role of Florence in the birth and in the promotion of Italian language and culture in the world ".

Il Sindaco Nardell nel suo intervento ha proposto di istituire in Italia un Erasmus dedicato alle arti come veicolo della lingua italiana nel mondo; double the touring symphony orchestras and opera and popular music of the workforce in the world, designed as promotion of the Italian language; use the film to promote Italian culture in every established a film school for young people and giving a systematic approach to project total international.
