In the Manger Square Quarter 2

A Villa Arrivabene, headquarters of District 2 City of Florence, was inaugurated Monday 8 December, the Nativity in the square, brainchild Group Donatello.

The representation of the Nativity, with silhouettes in size wooden, was placed in past years in Piazzale Donatello, but last year it was stolen the baby Jesus in terracotta, not the only piece of wood, made by Amalia Ciardi Dupré.

The new Baby Jesus, always in terracotta, was made by Patrizia Renzi Pandolfini.

The exhibition, edited by production designer Giancarlo Mancini, è composto da 25 characters.

"Only through the good will of the Group Donatello is realized this Nativity. It is our intention - said the President of the District 2 Michele Pierguidi - make Villa Arrivabene the headquarters of the artists. In summer we would like to set up a stage in the garden to host cultural events, theater performances and concerts. The Silfi, always eats, realize the lighting of the Crib ".

The exhibition will remain accessible until the 6 January 2015. Occasion is also provided the ignition dell'addobbo of a Christmas tree placed by the Directorate of Public Green.
